Resale for profit is prohibited
Selling tickets purchased on Dream Ticket to the general public at a price above face value is prohibited by law.
The law behind this
It is the Act on Ensuring Proper Distribution of Entertainment Event Tickets by Prohibiting Unauthorized Resale of Specified Entertainment Event Tickets. A ticket for which the date, time and place are specified, on which the prohibition of transfer for consideration (resale) is clearly stated, and for which the purchaser's name and contact details have been confirmed is a "specified entertainment event ticket", and reselling it above face value is illegal. Dream Ticket tickets are designed to meet these requirements.
That is why we ask for your name and phone number at purchase
We do not collect them because we want to, but because this law requires it. The information we collect is stored in encrypted form, and for admission we provide the Organizer only with your name (with its kana reading), ticket type and number of tickets, in the form of an attendee list (Terms of Service, Article 19; your telephone number and email address are not provided).
If you can't make it
You can hand tickets one at a time to your companions or friends using "Give to a friend for free" in My orders on your My page (no money changes hands). Official resale (listing at face value) is currently unavailable. If the event is cancelled or postponed, please see "If the event is cancelled or postponed" below.
Enter the recipient's email address for a transfer URL
If you enter an address, only that person can redeem the ticket. If you leave it blank, anyone who knows the URL can redeem it, so always enter one unless you are showing it to a companion on the spot on the day. Do not post the URL on social media or elsewhere.
About transfers via person-to-person marketplaces or social media
These cause trouble, and you may also be refused entry, because the name and telephone number recorded on the ticket will not match the person attending.
If the event is cancelled or postponed
If the event is cancelled, the face value and fees are refunded in full. If you paid by card, the refund is made automatically to the card used for the purchase (no action is required). If you paid by bank transfer, Dream Ticket (the operator) refunds your bank account (orders for which the transfer has not yet been made are cancelled, and no transfer is required). If you paid at a convenience store, Dream Ticket (the operator) refunds your bank account (please enter your bank account for the refund in My page; orders not yet paid are cancelled and no payment is required). If you chose Pay at venue (reservation), the reservation is cancelled and no payment is required. If the event is postponed, your ticket remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend on the new date, you can request a refund from the My orders screen.
